Face-to-face or online Supervision in Edinburgh

Do you want honest, supportive supervision that accepts you as you are and helps you to grow and challenge yourself?

I am passionate about counselling. I am constantly inspired by the learning that I gain from it. This learning is about myself, others, and how we are in relationships. I thoroughly enjoyed my supervision training. It taught me that transparency and congruence are important qualities for me in the supervisory relationship.

I work with couples individuals and groups. I work from a person centred perspective and my views on therapy align with this modality. I am also trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT is a humanistic, evidence-based psychotherapy approach. It primarily draws from attachment theory. This helps facilitate the creation of secure and vibrant connections with oneself and others.

I work from a non-pathologising perspective. I believe that the labeling of distress, although helpful for some, can also be harmful and de-humanising. I am passionate about social justice, feminism and equality.

I have a background as a paramedic and in social care. I have always been drawn to work with marginalised groups. I am particularly interested in people who experience stigma and struggle to be accepted. I have over 1650 of hours of counselling experience, gained in a college setting with students and in private practice.

I can offer supervision in-person from Haymarket, Edinburgh. I also offer online.
